WHAT IS BLIND FLANGES?

A Blind Flange is a round steel plate made of different materials as per application requirements such as Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel with all necessary blowholes aside from the center hole.

Blind Flanges(BF) are commonly used to seal off the extremities of pressure vessel and piping systems openings as it does not have a hub or a boring center. Once a line or vessel has been shut it can also be easily accessed by a reopened blind flange.

Using Blind flanges

Using Blind flanges is very cost-effective and easy in maintaining and repairing the piping system without blind flanges it would be a challenging task. At the closest valve, which might be a mile away from the repairing point, the flow needs to be stopped.

Blind Flanges are widely used in the Petrochemical, Pipe Engineering, Public Services, and Water Treatment Industries.

Blind Flanges are available in the range of 1/2″ (15 NB) to 48″ (1200NB) DN10~DN5000. It is manufactured by standards ASME B16.5 / ASME B16.47 with Pressure Rating Class 150 LBS, 300 LBS, 400 LBS, 600 LBS, 900 LBS, 1500 LBS, 2500 LBS. It is available in all connection types such as RF-Raised Face, RTJ-Ring Type Joint, and FF-Flat Face.
